Zázračný touaregský kytarista Mdou Moctar se na radar světového publika dostal před deseti lety, kdy jej americký label Sahel Sounds zařadil na kompilaci Music from Saharan Cellphones.

Mezitím se jeho cuvée desert blues a soudobé psychedelie udomácnilo v klubech i výročních žebříčcích na obou stranách Atlantiku. Letošní novinku Afrique Victime, která aktuálně získala známku Best New Music na Pitchforku, přijede Mdou Moctar představit poprvé i českému publiku. V úterý 26. dubna 2022 v MeetFactory.

Prodigious Touareg guitarist Mdou Moctar has appeared on the world’s audience radar ten years ago, when Portland-based label Sahel Sounds picked his songs for the Music from Saharan Cellphones compilation. In the meantime, his desert blues and contemporary psychedelia cuvée became a recognized presence in both venues and annual polls on both sides of the Atlantic. Mdou will play Prague for the first time on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 to present his latest album Afrique Victime, which has been recently lauded Best New Music at Pitchfork.
