V moderní verzi Šesti žen Jindřicha VIII. šestice žen popisuje své manželství s mužem jménem Jindřich. Když o něm hovoří, jsou jejich životy oddělené, a přesto propojené. Spojuje je tlak, aby porodily syna, potraty, milostné vztahy, zrada a společná nenávist ke všemu ryšavému. Ženy odkrývají své životní příběhy s humorem, patosem i notnou dávkou vína.

In a modern version of The Six Wives of Henry VIIIth, six women describe their marriage to a man called Henry. Their lives are both separate yet connected as they talk about their marriage; the pressure to give birth to a son, miscarriages, love affairs, betrayal, and a shared hate of all things coloured ginger. The women reveal their stories with humour, pathos and a great deal of wine.
